We are looking for a

Technical Supervisor

We currently have a vacancy for a Technical Supervisor within the Technical Department. This is an office-based role with the requirement to work within a factory environment when necessary. 

 

Responsibilities:

Assisting the Technical Manager with duties that include:

Technical projects and investigations.

Quality related investigations and corrective actions

Product legality, safety and compliance.

Environmental effects and benefits of our products and activities.

Implementing and supervising technical and quality related projects.

Creating, modifying, maintaining and auditing technical, quality and product safety systems.

Specific duties include:

  • Product and material sampling and testing,
  • Quality Assurance testing
  • Collating and reporting data,
  • Maintaining quality systems,
  • Generating reports regarding company performance indicators and monitoring programs,
  • Processing and organising technical documents.
  • Visits to customer and supplier premises as required.

 Technical and Personal Competences:

  • Demonstrate competence regarding understanding and applying the principles of Science, Maths and English, typically at a level of GCSE C and above.
  • Required to be computer literate, particularly with word processors, spreadsheets and databases.
  • Demonstrate good communication skills & able to communicate at all levels within the business.
  • Able to work on own initiative with minimal supervision.
  • Accurate with detailed work.
  • Consistently comply with Company rules and procedures.
  • Ability to organise and plan work to meet achievable deadlines & targets.
  • Ability to adapt to changes in working procedures and priorities.
  • Knowledge of product safety regarding food applications.
  • Knowledge of HACCP.
  • Knowledge of BRCGS for Food and/or Packaging Materials would be beneficial.
  • Knowledge of packaging materials would be beneficial.

In addition, the role will require accurate visual assessment of colours across the full colour spectrum.
