We are looking for a
Print Operator (Flexographic Printer)
Key responsibilities and Duties:
Setting up and printing high quality designs up to 8 colours onto various types Paper substrates.
Maintain a high level of quality, accuracy, and productivity to ensure efficient day to day running of a wide web flexographic printing press.
Previous experience as a flexographic printer is essential, ideally Windmöller & Hölscher and or Ofem machines.
Inspect and examine printed products for print clarity, colour accuracy, conformance to specifications, and external defects
Monitor stocks of materials such as paper, ink, and accessories in order to maintain supplies during equipment operation.
Advise maintenance of machine issue/problems
Work closely with the Management team to continually improve quality, process and production efficiencies.
High consideration for Health and Safety at all times so that people, environment, machinery and products are not compromised.
Maintain good housekeeping of the machinery and surrounding area.
The hours are 37.5 hours a week, over a 3-rotating shift pattern that include mornings, evenings and nights.
Qualities from Candidate:
Good degree of dexterity in order to maintain speed
Print experience. At least 3 to 5 years on a wide web press
Experience with water-based inks
Ability to show good colour matching skills
Must be able to work well in a team with good communication skills
Good time management skills
Ability to work toward targets
